In addition to ICT testing, modern electronic factories also require functional circuit testing (FCT) for mass-produced circuit boards before final packaging and delivery. A comprehensive and fully automatic functional testing platform is built using NI's PXI control board and LabVIEW software, which includes audio, video, various voltages, currents, frequencies, switch values, and more. PXI (PCI eXtensions for Instrumentation) is a robust PC based measurement and automation platform released by NI Corporation. PXI combines the electrical bus characteristics of PCI with the robustness, modularity, and Eurocard mechanical packaging features of CompactPCI to develop mechanical, electrical, and software specifications suitable for testing, measurement, and data acquisition applications. The purpose of developing the PXI specification is to perfectly combine the performance price advantage of desktop PCs with the necessary expansion of PCI bus towards the instrument field, forming a mainstream virtual instrument testing platform. This makes it a high-performance, low-cost carrier platform for measurement and automation systems.

Through NI's advanced PXI technology, it is possible to accurately and quickly control hardware and collect data; At the same time, the seamless connection between the PXI driver library DAQmx and the LabVIEW software development platform, using the FCT function test bench built by PXI, although the structure is complex and has a lot of signal volume, the structure is adjusted, the function is powerful, easy to modify, and resource sharing is achieved. After a large number of experiments and tests, we have successfully applied multiple such FCT function test benches to the production line of the factory, and they are stable and reliable.
